Seasonal Update

Summer Report 2012

Summer is an extremely busy season focused on preparation for the upcoming vintage. While there was not quite as much sunshine as we’d like, we are very pleased to report that our grapes are still ripening well.

The holiday season has been great for wine sales, with our new Cellar door area proving to be as much of a draw as our wines. Our Rose has been a resounding success - only a few cases left!

By January ripening is at a stage that nets must go on to prevent bird damage.

February and March has seen more hands on leaf thinning and bunch culling to help vines ripen only the very best grapes. (Photo = vineyard assistants Marshall and Ella carefully tackle this important job, Mar 2012)

Our Syrah (above right) and Chardonnay (left) grapes are looking beautiful and ripening well. We are on the verge of harvesting and look forward to reporting on the outcome of this years vintage.
